David C. Gilbert

David Gilbert, a medieval and Renaissance hobbyist,  learned classics at St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland.  He has a BA from Lenoir Rhyne College (now University) in Hickory, North Carolina and an MA History from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. David did additional doctoral work at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia and Education Credits at Curry School at the University of Virginia.

A Navy veteran, David worked in music for a year and for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs for 15 years. He also directed the Homeless Shelter and related programs for the Salvation Army in Charlottesville for 18 years.
