Make a Viking Masthead
The Vikings are famous for using longboats for exploring and raiding. They even visited North America in the year 1,000! These vessels were often embellished with decorative head pieces. On this field trip we will learn about the animal figureheads most commonly used on Viking ships and make our own. We will then get an opportunity to try it out on a boat ourselves.
Notes: Masking requirement to be determined closer to the event date. Parents may drop students off for this field trip.
