| Description: | Enjoy a quarry tour, followed by lunch (BYO) at the picnic pavilion. The tour includes an orientation at the Visitor Center (which has exhibits on native plants, the local ecosystem, and the history of the soapstone industry in Virginia) and a tour of the quarry gardens. The gardens opened in the spring of 2017 with 600 acres, about two miles of walking trails, more than 30 galleries of native plant communities. | ||
