The Community Homeschool Enrichment Center (CHEC) supports homeschool families by offering a variety of enrichment courses for children age 5 to 18. Courses were solely enrichment when CHEC formed in 2005, but over time we have started to offer a variety of academic options as well. We strive to offer classes that are fun, educational, and social.
CHEC offers a wide variety of courses, reflecting the imagination of our instructors and students. Sample course offerings from prior sessions include:
·Bailey's Strings Program |
·Geography by Story Telling |
·Watercolor Painting |
·Clothesline Theatre |
·Minecraft Programming |
·Dungeons and Dragons |
·Circus Arts |
·Math in Motion |
·Super Spanish |
·Iron Chef |
·Chemistry of Cooking |
·Engineering Workshop |
CHEC is an inclusive learning environment and is open to all. We
do not have a religious affiliation. CHEC, admits students of any
race, color, religion, sexual orientation, or national and ethnic
origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities
generally accorded or made available to students of the center. It
does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sexual
orientation, or national and ethnic origin in administration of its
educational policies, admission policies, scholarship programs,
athletic programs, or any other center-administered programs.
