|Community Homeschool Enrichment Center
|Provides a variety of enrichment and academic classes for children ages 5 to 18 as well as some adult classes. We strive to offer classes that are fun, educational and social, and that reflect the imagination of our instructors and students. CHEC is an inclusive learning environment that is open to all. Courses are held on Mondays.

|A Christian-focused educational organization designed to provide support and enrichment for home educating families.
|Christian Home Educators Science and Sports
|A strong focus on hands-on, lively science classes full of experiments and activities. Students learn about God's creation through their studies of many science topics.
|REACH's goal is to offer meaningful and educational opportunities for all homeschoolers in the Virginia area. REACH is Christian-led, but is open to all regardless of religion, race or politics. We are a very active group that participates in many field-trips and workshops for children of all ages.

|Holy Infant of Prague Paideia
|HIP is a classically inspired hybrid school, offering elementary

|A curriculum-based skill development soccer class for homeschoolers on Thursday afternoons. Coach West also offers other soccer programs for children and adults of all ages.

|Wintergreen Ski and Snowboard Lessons

|Massanutten Ski and Snowboard Lessons
|Massanutten’s Snow Sports Learning Center offers daily lesson programs for skiers and snowboarders that range from a first day experience to an advanced lesson that can improve technique. Offer homeschool packages.
|Triple C Camp
|Our homeschool workshop format opens the opportunity for families/groups to request a single-day workshop centered on a topic/content of interest specific to the group. Workshop content/topics that we have historically served include, but are not limited to, nature, science, citizenship/leadership, soft skills (critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, etc).
|Classes for homeschoolers are designed to develop gymnastics skills, coordination, strength and flexibility utilizing all of the men's and women's apparatus as well as trampolines and the "PIT."
|We offer gymnastics, cheer, aerial silks and acro to residents of Fluvanna, Louisa, Albemarle, Charlottesville, Orange and surrounding areas.
|Rocky Top Climbing Gym
|Nature play and discovery center. Wildrock field trips invite play-based learning and student-directed inquiry. Themes correspond with the Virginia Standards of Learning and are adapted to meet the developmental needs of each age group.
|KidsCollege at PVCC
|Summer STEM and Art classes for rising 1st through 10th graders. The Community Homeschool Enrichment Center (CHEC)'s Megan Bailey will be teaching camps at KidsCollege.
|Live Arts is a volunteer theater that has given a home to drama, dance, comedy, music and performance art since 1990.
|Outdoor classes for ages 18mos - 8 years. Each class becomes a tight-knit group of children and adults who learn together through well-designed, outdoor play-based activities.

|The Charlottesville Debate League runs debate classes and tournaments for middle school aged children. The class and tournaments are free.

|Heartmoor Farm Education Centre provides classes, workshops, and summer enrichment for children and adults.
|SOCA (Soccer Organization Charlottesville Area)
|With soccer programming offered for young and old, novice to advanced players, SOCA now serves over 6,000 local soccer players seasonally. Programs are offered at various levels and are designed to serve anyone interested in the sport of soccer.

|The Virginia Basketball Academy is a comprehensive, year-round basketball training program comprised of a variety of learning opportunities for boys and girls of all ages.
Playgroups and Communities
|A weekly parkday for homeschooling families in the Charlottesville area. This group meets at a different park every Tuesday (and sometimes other days) and is for kids of all ages. Most kids fall within the age range of 5-14.

|Charlottesville Charlotte Mason Community
|We are a Charlotte Mason community that covers Charlottesville and the surrounding areas for children of all ages. We have monthly discussions to explore Charlotte Mason's philosophy through the use of her volumes and PNEU resources. Outside of our mother's discussion group, we offer student various classes based in Ms. Mason's methods and also host a handicraft fair two times a year. |We are committed to providing homeschooling support to our members, as well as accurate information about homeschooling to Virginia’s families, school divisions, legislators and policymakers, the media, and the community at large. Also has a great conference in March.
|HEAV (Home Educators Association of Virginia)
|Home Educators Association of Virginia is a member-supported, statewide, 501(c)3 non-profit homeschool association. HEAV, coming from a biblical worldview, serves all homeschoolers—regardless of religious or philosophical beliefs. Offers a convention every summer.
Community Service Opportunities for Kids
|Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA
|Junior Volunteers between the ages of 14 and 17 years old can help with special projects, sorting donations in the Rummage Store, light housekeeping and organizing in our shelter lobby, offsite fundraising and adoption events, and birthday parties.
|TJUU Food Pantry
|Older children and teens can help with Thomas Jefferson Unitarian Universalist's monthly food pantry. Contact Elizabeth Breeden at 434.806.4121.
|The Habitat for Humanity
|Junior Volunteers can help with building, volunteer in the Habitat store, bring lunch to the construction site, help with kids care at events, recruit volunteers and more.

End of Year Evaluations
| Carolyn has been writing Evidence of Progress Letters for
Virginia homeschooling families for about 10 years. She sees her
role as an outside listener who corroborates the evidence of
progress that the family presents. Her role is to listen, take
notes, and ask lots of questions to help families sort through and
think about what they've accomplished over the school year. An EOP
meeting with her is informal and takes about an hour. She will
meet outdoors at a Cville parks or online.
