My name is Leah Craig an I am enjoying my retirement years after 35 years of teaching. Before my retirement in 2020, I spent my days running a State Licensed childcare home. For the first 16 years I lived in Charlottesville and in 1996 I moved to Albemarle County, where I still reside. During those teachers years, craft time was my favorite part of the day. Watching a child create something with their hands and witness the glowing smile that creeps across their faces as they look at their art piece, is the best treat in the world. I picked up leather crafting 15 years ago and started teaching leather classes 7 years ago.. In my spare time, I throw on my running shoes, put in my earbuds and hit the running trail with my sweet golden, Tinkerbell. I am looking forward to seeing how much I learn from my students this time around!
