| Description: | Join Kim Lohan for a hike to a beaver den. We will take a walk in the woods and learn in nature. This easy hike is 1.8 miles. We will explore trees, wetland plants, spy an eagle's nest and look for other forest dwellers. Once we arrive at the beaver den, we'll have a seat and eat our lunch and Kim will give a short talk about beaver characteristics. | ||
| Notes: | Children must stay with their parents and the group. Good walking shoes or rain boots are necessary. Pack water bottles and a lunch. All garbage must be taken out with you. This field trip will be held in Crozet, exact location emailed ahead of trip. | ||
