Stream Restoration Program at Botanical Garden of the Piedmont

Description: Take part in an informational question and answer session about stream restoration and why stream restoration happens. While stream access is currently limited due to a protective fence for new plantings, students will be able to walk down to the upstream end where they can look down almost the entire length of the stream and visually compare restored sections with the section that wasn't restored because of the railroad right of way. Our guide will talk with attendees about the process of how a stream is restored and what they expect to see in the future.
