Fun Exploratory Activities at Lewis and Clark Exploratory Center

Description: **Activities recommended for students ages 5-10, but older age students and adults are welcome to participate** CHEC has requested these activities: Making Animal Masks, the Languages of Lewis and Clark (includes Sign Language), and an Animal Sign Walk. LCEC's hands-on activities and exhibitions relate to inspiring curiosity and exploration, while showing respect for the environment and for varying viewpoints. LCEC leads art projects for both children and adults as a way to interpret history, the environment, and science, using the Lewis and Clark journals as inspiration, journals that included drawings, written accounts, and mapmaking. A variety of interactive programs allow visitors to question history and form their own opinions based on primary source documents and objects.
